Re Mindfulness: I started meditating over 40 years ago and have found it fundamental for personal growth and well being and it has helped me to live life fully and face difficulties with increased open heartedness, and compassion. I began my mindfulness journey with Living Mindfully where I undertook the Oxford University MBSR course.
I was fortunate enough to train with the respected and established Mindfulness in Schools Project (MisP)] and have become an Accredited Teacher of Mindfulness with them. I incorporate their teachings into my programmes. In 2016 alone I delivered courses to over 200 educators, psychologists, social workers, adults and children. have been invited by the Ministry for Education to give talks on mindfulness for ADHD. I work within the UK Good Practice guidelines for Teachers of Mindfulness and abide by the ethical framework to be listed on the UK Mental Health Foundation website as a recommended teacher of mindfulness. I can also be found on the Mindfulness in Schools website. I continuously develop my psychic and spiritual gifts through attendance at workshops and meetings.
Over time I have become increasingly interested in integrating my therapeutic work with my meditation practice. Jon Kabat-Zinn’s secular approach to mindfulness attracted me because it combines the ancient eastern wisdom with modern western science.
Re EFT: I am an accredited Trainer of Trainers and in the last 11 years I have delivered training courses worldwide, written the international best selling book 'EFT for Dummies' and written numerous training programmes (including the acclaimed Master Trainer course in EFT accredited by the NCFHE). There are many training courses in EFT and variations of EFT but the courses offered by the EFT & Mindfulness Centre cover the original EFT content, recently updated by Gary Craig (founder of EFT). The courses also go beyond the courses currently on offer and include client safety, ethical practice, marketing and much more. I ensure that all Trainers are rigorously tested before awarding their certificate. You will be assured that you will have full support throughout your training, including the opportunity to attend coaching classes and meetings.
